Shelter Island Hotel Group
The Shelter Island Hotel Group consists of five hotels. The alliance began in June 2002 for the purpose of offering "the island" to groups requesting accommodations for up to 800 hotel rooms per night.
This combined effort concept permitted the opportunity to accommodate groups larger than any one individual hotel could accommodate singularly.
It was then a natural progression to combine our resources by offering 50,000 square feet of meeting space, transportation and professional meeting services. Micro-destination marketing is a relatively unique concept for the hotel industry. The Shelter Island lends itself formidably by its exclusive location surrounded by water and hotels that are adjacent to one another.
The commitment is supported by each one of the five general managers and each of the five directors of sales constituting the board of directors to oversee every aspect of the marketing program and to assure success to the end user – you the guest.
